Dr. Michael Phillips (@drmphillipsut.bsky.social) is an American historian specializing in the history of Texas, racism in the United States, right-wing extremism, and apocalyptic religion in the United States. He is author of “White Metropolis: Race, Ethnicity and Religion, 1841–2001,” and co-author of “The Purifying Knife: The Troubling History of Eugenics in Texas .”
Betsy Friauf (@betsyfriauf.bsky.social) is an independent scholar and a longtime journalist in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. She is the co-author of “The Purifying Knife: The Troubling History of Eugenics in Texas.”
